# Swisscom blue TV vs RTLPlay.lu

The clearest difference is rating: RTLPlay.lu at 5.0 against Swisscom blue TV's 4.6. RTLPlay.lu also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Swisscom blue TV's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (72 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RTLPlay.lu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swisscom blue TV has 72 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Swisscom blue TV's written reviews are positive against 0% of RTLPlay.lu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
