# Hyper vs NOEC

The clearest difference is rating: NOEC at 5.0 against Hyper's 1.6. Hyper's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NOEC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hyper has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hyper ships an update every 3 months, NOEC every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
