# Mixoo vs VideoLayout

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mixoo at 87% against VideoLayout's 5%. Mixoo also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (7K vs 4). VideoLayout's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mixoo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and VideoLayout sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mixoo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mixoo has 7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of Mixoo's written reviews are positive against 5% of VideoLayout's.

Mixoo ships an update every 3 weeks, VideoLayout fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
