# Robot Talk vs The Audio Converter

The clearest difference is rating: The Audio Converter at 4.6 against Robot Talk's 3.2. The Audio Converter also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 18) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Robot Talk's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (60% vs 35%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Audio Converter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Robot Talk asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Audio Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Audio Converter has 14K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Robot Talk's written reviews are positive against 35% of The Audio Converter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Robot Talk ships an update every 9 months, The Audio Converter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
