# Windy vs Tempo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tempo at every 5 days against Windy's monthly. Windy's advantage is iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Windy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tempo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Windy ships an update monthly, Tempo every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
