# Torch Timer vs FlashMob

The clearest difference is ads: Torch Timer at none against FlashMob's shown. Torch Timer also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). FlashMob's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 63%). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Torch Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and FlashMob sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Torch Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 191 and 174 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Torch Timer's written reviews are positive against 81% of FlashMob's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Torch Timer ships an update every 4 days, FlashMob every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
