# Dream Journal Ultimate vs Lucid

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dream Journal Ultimate at weekly against Lucid's every 2 months. Dream Journal Ultimate also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 59%) and ratings volume (568 vs 44). Lucid's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dream Journal Ultimate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Lucid sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Dream Journal Ultimate against 4.6 for Lucid.
