# Rapchat vs SoundLab

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rapchat at every 3 days against SoundLab's weekly. Rapchat also leads on ratings volume (99K vs 15K). SoundLab's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rapchat sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and SoundLab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Rapchat against 4.6 for SoundLab. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rapchat has 99K ratings behind it against 15K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Rapchat's written reviews are positive against 65% of SoundLab's.

Rapchat ships an update every 3 days, SoundLab weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
