# Rapchat vs Overtune

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Rapchat at 99K against Overtune's 279. Rapchat also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and chart position (#88 vs unranked). Overtune's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rapchat sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Overtune sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $11.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Rapchat against 4.6 for Overtune. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rapchat has 99K ratings behind it against 279, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Rapchat's written reviews are positive against 67% of Overtune's.

Rapchat ships an update every 3 days, Overtune fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
