# Swivl Capture vs TCEA

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Swivl Capture at 43% against TCEA's 0%. Swivl Capture also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). TCEA's advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swivl Capture sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TCEA asks for nothing beyond the download.

TCEA holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swivl Capture has 31 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Swivl Capture's written reviews are positive against 0% of TCEA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Swivl Capture ships an update every 6 weeks, TCEA every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
