# PocketBook Reader vs EEPP

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EEPP at 94% against PocketBook Reader's 55%. EEPP also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). PocketBook Reader's advantage is ratings volume (9.8K vs 21) and chart position (#154 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PocketBook Reader sells 41 one-off in-app purchases and EEPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EEPP holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PocketBook Reader has 9.8K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of PocketBook Reader's written reviews are positive against 94% of EEPP's.

PocketBook Reader ships an update every 2 months, EEPP every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
