# Private Vault vs Keepy

The clearest difference is rating: Keepy at 4.8 against Private Vault's 4.0. Keepy also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (100% vs 66%). Private Vault's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 48). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Private Vault sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Keepy sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Keepy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Private Vault has 1.2K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Private Vault's written reviews are positive against 100% of Keepy's.

Private Vault ships an update every 4 months, Keepy every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
