# Tynker vs imagi

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: imagi at none against Tynker's 4. imagi also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 56%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Tynker's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 3.1K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tynker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. imagi asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Tynker against 4.7 for imagi. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tynker has 18K ratings behind it against 3.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Tynker's written reviews are positive against 82% of imagi's.
