# Tynker vs Doodlematic Education

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Doodlematic Education at 100% against Tynker's 56%. Doodlematic Education also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Tynker's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (18K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tynker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Doodlematic Education asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tynker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tynker has 18K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Tynker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Doodlematic Education's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tynker ships an update every 3 weeks, Doodlematic Education every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
