# InstAddr vs Temp Mail

The clearest difference is monetization model: InstAddr at free with in-app purchases against Temp Mail's subscription. InstAddr also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 17 months) and device support (3 vs 1). Temp Mail's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstAddr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Temp Mail sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Temp Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 956 and 2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of InstAddr's written reviews are positive against 80% of Temp Mail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InstAddr ships an update monthly, Temp Mail every 17 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
