The clearest difference is price: Rocket Typist at Free against Taskmator's $4.99. Rocket Typist also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 59%). Taskmator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Rocket Typist is free to download; Taskmator costs $4.99 up front. Rocket Typist sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Taskmator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Taskmator holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1.
