# BigPumpkins vs Fora Communities

The clearest difference is ads: BigPumpkins at none against Fora Communities's shown. BigPumpkins also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Fora Communities's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 3). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for BigPumpkins against 4.7 for Fora Communities. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fora Communities has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
