# Pig Latin vs Shippity

Pig Latin and Shippity both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of Pig Latin's written reviews are positive against 45% of Shippity's. Pig Latin also leads on iOS requirement (11 vs 15.1). Shippity's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 55 months) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 109). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shippity holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shippity has 1.8K ratings behind it against 109, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Pig Latin's written reviews are positive against 45% of Shippity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pig Latin ships an update every 55 months, Shippity every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
