# Golden Age Comic Books vs Redwing

The clearest difference is rating: Golden Age Comic Books at 3.0 against Redwing's 2.6. Golden Age Comic Books also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Redwing's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (12 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golden Age Comic Books sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Redwing sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golden Age Comic Books holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Redwing has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Golden Age Comic Books ships an update every 4 months, Redwing every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
