# UMH app vs Vaia

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vaia at 81% against UMH app's 23%. Vaia also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 7). UMH app's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 17) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vaia sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. UMH app asks for nothing beyond the download.

UMH app holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vaia has 1.6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of UMH app's written reviews are positive against 81% of Vaia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UMH app ships an update fortnightly, Vaia weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
