# UMH app vs Linguin

The clearest difference is rating: UMH app at 4.9 against Linguin's 4.2. UMH app also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Linguin's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 23%) and ratings volume (169 vs 7). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linguin sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. UMH app asks for nothing beyond the download.

UMH app holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linguin has 169 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of UMH app's written reviews are positive against 45% of Linguin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
