# LoungeKey vs LoungeMe

The clearest difference is rating: LoungeKey at 4.8 against LoungeMe's 2.5. LoungeKey also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). LoungeMe's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 21%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LoungeKey holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LoungeKey has 17K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of LoungeKey's written reviews are positive against 46% of LoungeMe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LoungeKey ships an update fortnightly, LoungeMe monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
