# United Rentals vs Crangle

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: United Rentals at none against Crangle's 2. United Rentals also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 164). Crangle's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crangle sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. United Rentals asks for nothing beyond the download.

United Rentals holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: United Rentals has 1.4K ratings behind it against 164, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of United Rentals's written reviews are positive against 71% of Crangle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

United Rentals ships an update monthly, Crangle every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
