# Voice Over Stopwatch vs Simple Clock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Simple Clock at 75% against Voice Over Stopwatch's 50%. Simple Clock also leads on ratings volume (297 vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Voice Over Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Clock sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Clock has 297 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Voice Over Stopwatch's written reviews are positive against 75% of Simple Clock's.

Voice Over Stopwatch ships an update every 3 months, Simple Clock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
