# Font vs Text Tool

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Font at 6.2K against Text Tool's 92. Font also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Font sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Text Tool sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Font against 4.5 for Text Tool. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Font has 6.2K ratings behind it against 92, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Font's written reviews are positive against 79% of Text Tool's.

Font ships an update every 5 weeks, Text Tool monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
