# Font vs Themeboard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Font at 85% against Themeboard's 40%. Font also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 103). Themeboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 13.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Font sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Themeboard sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Font holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Font has 6.2K ratings behind it against 103, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Font's written reviews are positive against 40% of Themeboard's.

Font ships an update every 5 weeks, Themeboard every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
