# WordDive vs LANG

The clearest difference is monetization model: LANG at free with in-app purchases against WordDive's subscription. LANG also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (12K vs 717). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WordDive sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and LANG sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for WordDive against 4.6 for LANG. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LANG has 12K ratings behind it against 717, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of WordDive's written reviews are positive against 72% of LANG's.

WordDive ships an update every 6 weeks, LANG weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
