# PromoPromo vs bol

PromoPromo and bol both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 93% of PromoPromo's written reviews are positive against 36% of bol's. PromoPromo also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). bol's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 48) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PromoPromo against 4.7 for bol. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: bol has 1.3K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of PromoPromo's written reviews are positive against 36% of bol's.

PromoPromo ships an update monthly, bol every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
