# FireSync Shift Calendar vs GPS Portal

The clearest difference is monetization model: GPS Portal at free against FireSync Shift Calendar's paid. GPS Portal also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). FireSync Shift Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (9.1K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GPS Portal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FireSync Shift Calendar has 9.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FireSync Shift Calendar ships an update every 2 months, GPS Portal every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
