# FireSync Shift Calendar vs Brass Tacks

The clearest difference is monetization model: Brass Tacks at free against FireSync Shift Calendar's paid. Brass Tacks also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). FireSync Shift Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (9.1K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
