# QRCode Barcode vs Prontipagos

The clearest difference is ads: Prontipagos at none against QRCode Barcode's shown. Prontipagos also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). QRCode Barcode's advantage is ratings volume (796 vs 4) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prontipagos holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QRCode Barcode has 796 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of QRCode Barcode's written reviews are positive against 66% of Prontipagos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QRCode Barcode ships an update every 4 months, Prontipagos every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
