# Castrol 2TRatio vs GPS Race Timer

The clearest difference is rating: GPS Race Timer at 4.5 against Castrol 2TRatio's 3.0. GPS Race Timer also leads on update cadence (every 7 months vs every 58 months) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 4). Castrol 2TRatio's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 34%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Race Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Castrol 2TRatio asks for nothing beyond the download.

GPS Race Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Race Timer has 2.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Castrol 2TRatio's written reviews are positive against 34% of GPS Race Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Castrol 2TRatio ships an update every 58 months, GPS Race Timer every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
