# Castrol 2TRatio vs Speedometer GPS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Castrol 2TRatio at 76% against Speedometer GPS's 33%. Castrol 2TRatio also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). Speedometer GPS's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 58 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer GPS sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Castrol 2TRatio asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speedometer GPS holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer GPS has 8.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Castrol 2TRatio's written reviews are positive against 33% of Speedometer GPS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Castrol 2TRatio ships an update every 58 months, Speedometer GPS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
