# Azangoo vs ShamsiCal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Azangoo at 21K against ShamsiCal's 176. Azangoo also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). ShamsiCal's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 76%) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Azangoo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Azangoo has 21K ratings behind it against 176, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Azangoo's written reviews are positive against 85% of ShamsiCal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Azangoo ships an update every 2 months, ShamsiCal every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
