# Slow Clap vs Applause !

The clearest difference is rating: Applause ! at 4.4 against Slow Clap's 3.8. Applause ! also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 40) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months). Slow Clap's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Applause ! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Slow Clap asks for nothing beyond the download.

Applause ! holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Applause ! has 1.4K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Slow Clap's written reviews are positive against 79% of Applause !'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slow Clap ships an update every 13 months, Applause ! every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
