# SPH Mag vs Aaro Ananda

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Aaro Ananda at 30% against SPH Mag's 0%. Aaro Ananda also leads on ratings volume (112 vs 1). SPH Mag's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPH Mag sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per year and Aaro Ananda sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SPH Mag holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aaro Ananda has 112 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of SPH Mag's written reviews are positive against 30% of Aaro Ananda's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
