# Subway Simulator 3D vs Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is ads: Flight Simulator at none against Subway Simulator 3D's shown. Subway Simulator 3D's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and review sentiment (26% vs 18%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subway Simulator 3D sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Flight Simulator sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5.3K and 4.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Subway Simulator 3D's written reviews are positive against 18% of Flight Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Subway Simulator 3D ships an update every 3 weeks, Flight Simulator fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
