# E vs StepBeats

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StepBeats at 50% against E's 0%. E's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepBeats sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. E asks for nothing beyond the download.

E holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of E's written reviews are positive against 50% of StepBeats's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
