# Whatool vs WTBackup

The clearest difference is rating: Whatool at 4.3 against WTBackup's 3.7. Whatool also leads on ratings volume (70 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whatool sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and WTBackup sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Whatool holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whatool has 70 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Whatool ships an update every 3 months, WTBackup every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
