# Tris vs Pirate Gems

The clearest difference is device support: Pirate Gems at 3 against Tris's 1. Pirate Gems also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tris sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pirate Gems sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
