# In 24 Hours Learn Languages vs Babbel

The clearest difference is review sentiment: In 24 Hours Learn Languages at 89% against Babbel's 44%. In 24 Hours Learn Languages also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Babbel's advantage is ratings volume (756K vs 182) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. In 24 Hours Learn Languages sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Babbel sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Babbel holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Babbel has 756K ratings behind it against 182, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of In 24 Hours Learn Languages's written reviews are positive against 44% of Babbel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

In 24 Hours Learn Languages ships an update fortnightly, Babbel every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
