# Stratus Insight EFB vs Aviator Assistant

The clearest difference is rating: Aviator Assistant at 4.5 against Stratus Insight EFB's 3.6. Aviator Assistant also leads on chart position (#197 vs unranked) and ratings volume (75 vs 9). Stratus Insight EFB's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stratus Insight EFB sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Aviator Assistant sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aviator Assistant holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aviator Assistant has 75 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Stratus Insight EFB's written reviews are positive against 50% of Aviator Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stratus Insight EFB ships an update every 3 weeks, Aviator Assistant every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
