# Read Live vs Flip The Future

The clearest difference is rating: Read Live at 5.0 against Flip The Future's 4.2. Read Live also leads on iOS requirement (14.3 vs 17.6). Flip The Future's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 29%) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Read Live holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip The Future has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Read Live's written reviews are positive against 67% of Flip The Future's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
