# Speech Bubble Maker vs Talkr Live

The clearest difference is monetization model: Talkr Live at free with in-app purchases against Speech Bubble Maker's subscription. Talkr Live also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speech Bubble Maker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Talkr Live sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Talkr Live holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 800 and 824 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Speech Bubble Maker's written reviews are positive against 52% of Talkr Live's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speech Bubble Maker ships an update every 4 months, Talkr Live every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
