# Playback Now vs NAREB App

The clearest difference is rating: Playback Now at 3.7 against NAREB App's 3.0. NAREB App's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Playback Now holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Playback Now's written reviews are positive against 50% of NAREB App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Playback Now ships an update every 12 months, NAREB App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
