# Underlist vs Mindlist

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mindlist at 76% against Underlist's 33%. Mindlist also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 7). Underlist's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Underlist sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Mindlist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindlist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindlist has 1.6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Underlist's written reviews are positive against 76% of Mindlist's.

Underlist ships an update monthly, Mindlist fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
