# AnyFont vs Velaflame

The clearest difference is price: Velaflame at Free against AnyFont's $1.99. Velaflame also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). AnyFont's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (26K vs 13). On review sentiment, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Velaflame is free to download; AnyFont costs $1.99 up front. AnyFont sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Velaflame asks for nothing beyond the download.

AnyFont holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AnyFont has 26K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of AnyFont's written reviews are positive against 42% of Velaflame's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AnyFont ships an update every 2 months, Velaflame every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
