# Flip Flap Fly vs Mimelet

The clearest difference is rating: Flip Flap Fly at 4.4 against Mimelet's 3.9. Flip Flap Fly also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Mimelet's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 60%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flip Flap Fly sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mimelet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flip Flap Fly holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 67 and 94 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Flip Flap Fly's written reviews are positive against 79% of Mimelet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flip Flap Fly ships an update every 2 months, Mimelet every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
