# SightPlus vs Immersal Mapper

The clearest difference is rating: Immersal Mapper at 5.0 against SightPlus's 4.2. SightPlus's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Immersal Mapper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SightPlus has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SightPlus ships an update every 3 weeks, Immersal Mapper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
