# Script Evolution vs Scriptation

The clearest difference is rating: Scriptation at 4.8 against Script Evolution's 1.0. Scriptation also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Script Evolution sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Scriptation sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scriptation holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scriptation has 3.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Script Evolution's written reviews are positive against 76% of Scriptation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Script Evolution ships an update monthly, Scriptation fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
